Specialized Ministry Team in Japan

Occasionally, Asian Access has the need to bring a highly specialized ministry team to Japan. Types of teams include childcare, computer training, medical & counseling, financial planning, etc.

Interested in working with some cool missionary kids in Japan? Give us 7-10 days for a brief experience with long-term impact.

Asian Access, a mission agency dedicated to developing leaders and planting churches across Japan, holds an annual mission-wide retreat in the beautiful, snowy mountains of Nagano in March and church planter’s conference in October. The purposes of these retreats are to equip and refresh missionaries who serve alongside Japanese congregations and help to plant new churches.

Each conference, we have a need for a team of 6-10 people who share a passion to invest in the children in the mission so that they can shine Christ in this dark country. Ideally teams will be from one church in North America. In past years, children’s ministry teams have run a program much like a Vacation Bible School ministry. This is a unique opportunity for anyone who loves kids and would like the chance to serve (in English!) in Japan. You would also have some great interaction with missionaries from all over the country!

The ministry dates are about 5 days in either March or October, but there is also the potential to participate in ministry elsewhere in Japan around the conference dates, if desired.

Qualifications:

• Love Jesus Christ & have been a Christian for at least 1 year.
• U.S., Canadian, or Japanese citizen.
• Native or fluent English speaker.
• Your organization must fully endorse your team's participation.
• Evangelical organization in agreement with Asian Access' statement of faith.
• Active in a local church.
• Pass a background screening to work with children, approved by either local church or Asian Access
