  • Vision of A2 alumni to plant 14,392 churches across Cambodia

    Meng & Rady

    Good morning! My name is Meng Aun Hour. I'm the country director for Asian Access in Cambodia.

    I just want to take this time to share with you what God is doing through Asian Access / Cambodia... especially through the alumni of Asian Access.

  • Heading into Thanksgiving week full of gratefulness

    A2 HappyThanksgiving 2021

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    As Thanksgiving draws near, I’m reminded of the bountiful harvest that comes with the season. A few hours away from my home, my family would often visit the apple orchards this time of year and taste the most delicious of crisp, fresh apples. I love the green ones because of their tart flavor. I’m also reflecting on those seasons where I visited family in Oklahoma seeing all sorts of grains spanning for miles on end.

  • When God does something new

    "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." — Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV

    It has been six months since the lockdown began in Manila and to this day churches have not been allowed to operate fully. Restrictions on mass gatherings have severely crippled what we call “corporate churches” or churches that manages the ministry like a corporation, with paid pastors, board of elders, and facilities (rented or owned).  For months we cried out to God to intervene so that we can go back to the way we used to do worship, but what if God has a new agenda for his church?...

  • Coronavirus Reflections from Bangladesh

    aporna 500pxEvery day, new COVID-19 patients are being added in Bangladesh, my home country. Family members and close friends are suffering from the illness. Many patients live next to my building. People diagnosed with coronavirus are facing social ostracism; many people are losing their jobs. People cannot earn enough money to meet their daily needs. We are learning that people in Bangladesh are dying not only from COVID-19, but from additional mental and physical issues. It makes me cry when I hear and see a mother cannot provide food and medical supplies for her child. I just cry out to the Lord, “Give me Your provision to stand beside them in a tangible way.” But I am not afraid. I fix my eyes to the Lord who is the author of our life.

  • COVID forcing Philippines to change pastoral ministry, church model

    family of Jason Richard TanGod's Work Cannot Be Quarantined

    As ministry front-liners in the Philippines, we could literally see how the landscape of pastoral ministry is changing before our very eyes. This health pandemic is bringing to an end the era of the corporate church model, and it is fast being replaced by the house-church model. Allow us to share to you what has been happening in our part of the world: 1) 40,000 small church pastors have had no pay for the past two...

  • What Asian Access means to us in our country

    A2 prayer meeting endorsement video screengrabEvery once in a while, you come across a powerful testimony that you just have to share. The other day, on a global prayer call with 50+ of our Asian Access global family, we had one of our leaders share the impact of the program on their country. The story was so compelling that we wanted you to be able to watch or listen… Take a listen! And, thank you for praying and partnering with us to see this kind of transformation happening...

  • Asian Access’ double impact – on a ministry couple

    Pastor Juserdi Purba and his wife, Dr. Meiti Pragiwati, are quite a couple. In addition to pastoring a network of churches in the Bekasi (Jakarta) area, Ps. Juserdi (whose background is in chemical engineering) works full-time for a large company. And Meiti is indeed a doctor. She currently works as a doctor for a factory two days per week while devoting the majority of her time to family and ministry. Asian Access was fortunate when God decided to... {addthis off}

  • Asian Access is recharging, engaging and profoundly uplifting

    filipino couple screengrabTestimony from a Filipino Couple

    I praise and thank the Lord for Asian Access. For the past two years, we're almost over, and it's just been so uplifting. Maybe one word to describe Asian Access is… it's recharging for us pastors. It's not mentally draining, but it's emotionally and spiritually engaging for us. And we also enjoy the sceneries and all the sessions that we have had it, especially the food also. So the speakers are great and the topics are really relevant in our lives. So I thank the Lord for Asian Access. How about you, Sweetheart? Well, I am so grateful also...{addthis off}

  • Letter from a Persecuted Leader

    "I especially want to thank Asian Access for standing with me at this hard time. My Asian Access friends helped me greatly during this trial. We each experience this opposition, and so we are there for each other."

    A Letter from My Friend, an A2 Alumnus

    Just before Thanksgiving, I received his letter from a graduate of Asian Access. He writes: "Dear President Joe, Greetings in the Name of Christ. As you know, we continue to face many hardships...{addthis off}

  • Alumnus plants 77 churches since graduating

    Last month while attending a session in Cambodia, we spent some time with Asian Access alumnus BN (pictured here). Pastor BN has a remarkable story. He had a brutal past, participating in some of the ugliest history his country has ever seen. He was personally responsible for horrible atrocities many times over. After the Khmer Rouge was pushed to the sidelines in Cambodia, following the Killing Fields, he went into hiding. Along the way, his wife met Jesus and he was astounded that she loved Jesus so much that she would often disobey him just to attend church. He even beat her many times admonishing her not to go to church. But, she kept going...{addthis off}

  • Asia Leaders Summit

    Asians Reaching Asia!

    It was pure joy being with key church leaders across Asia a few weeks ago here in Tokyo. Three years ago I was the only westerner present during the core meetings and this time around, there were only 2 of us. It’s really an honor to be included as the tagline for this gathering is “Asians Reaching Asia!” More importantly though to me is how many of my friends and colleagues are part of the gathering. Increasingly key leaders from the Asian Access networks are participating...{addthis off}

  • Changing the few in Cambodia who change the many

    The working team of A2/CambodiaPictured here with me is the Asian Access "working team" from Cambodia. They work with Pastor Meng Aun Hour (far right) of the photo to lead the work of Asian Access in the country. They are hitting way above their weight as a country, and it’s fun to see God’s story unveiled through them. The pastor in the middle left side of the picture has seen remarkable fruit since graduating from Asian Access. He’s clearly a keen example of God “Changing the Few who Change the Many.” He took what he learned through Asian Access and began multiplying it and that’s a key reason why Meng chose him to be on their working team. {addthis off}

  • Common Learning: A2 Bangladesh Graduating Cohort #4

    Testimony after testimony from the 4th graduating cohort in Bangladesh revealed several common themes. It was encouraging hearing their reports as several were chosen to share what God had done in their lives over the last two years. Common themes included how much they had learned about their identity in Christ. Many had gone through seasons of pain, difficulty, and challenge but each of them could see how God shaped them during the course of their lives, even through the difficult seasons...{addthis off}

  • Jason Richard Tan: "Asian Access came at just the right time"

    tan jason richard 200x200pxHello, my name is Jason Richard Tan. I was introduced to Asian Access way back in January 2017. And at the time I was just recovering from the very discouraging and painful ordeal. I had lost my voice, my ministry, and even my integrity, and I left the pastoral ministry. I wasn't sure about my calling and my future in ministry. Asian Access came just at the right time. Through Asian Access, I learned two things: one is the value of...{addthis off}

Indeed A2 is truly life transforming. I am expectant of God's favor for me, family and ministry. I am beginning to see fruits of my learning experience with A2/Philippines. Thank you for your undivided service to Jesus through Asian Access. Truly you help 'change the few for the many.' Your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Rest assured that...{addthis off}

  • Meet The Bird Man: Reproducing Disciple-Makers

    mon ideree photographerMeet the Bird Man, my friend Ideree. (See him pictured here.) Why do I call Ideree the Bird Man? Because he’s more famous worldwide for his bird photography than for his pastoring a church or working with the leadership team of Asian Access. I tease him saying “Ideree, you are the most famous pastor in Mongolia.” He’s clearly embarrassed by that. But, check out his FB page and see the birds. You’ll see why... {addthis off}
