Nozomi means 'hope' in Japanese. Nozomi Project is a faith-based social enterprise located in Ishinomaki, Japan. We train women to create high-quality jewelry products, bringing sustainable income, community, dignity and hope along the way! Using broken pieces of pottery left in the wake of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami (as well as other up-cycled pottery), Nozomi women create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Each of our lines has been named by a Nozomi woman in honor of a loved one in her life.
|ReIGNITE Hope trains those on the margins of society with a marketable job skill to change their lives and help end joblessness. ReIGNITE Hope is a unique training program that started on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles teaching valuable job skills to men and women, many of whom have been homeless, gang members, and ex-offenders. They are currently operating in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Brazil, and the Philippines.|
