Nozomi means 'hope' in Japanese. Nozomi Project is a faith-based social enterprise located in Ishinomaki, Japan. We train women to create high-quality jewelry products, bringing sustainable income, community, dignity and hope along the way! Using broken pieces of pottery left in the wake of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami (as well as other up-cycled pottery), Nozomi women create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Each of our lines has been named by a Nozomi woman in honor of a loved one in her life.
