Why A2?

Why are we serving with Asian Access?

We love Asian Access. We believe it's the best vehicle for us to achieve our life's purpose of helping to foster a church multiplication movement throughout Japan -- what we have given our lives for and what we appeal to God for.

After investing about half of our lives in this nation -- focusing on evangelism and church planting -- we believe that this A2 model of church multiplication networks is the most effective method in Japan for reproducing churches. And it honors the vision and leadership of Japanese pastors, which is essential for a sustainable, indigenous ministry.

Ministry Assignment

Peter is serving as Director of Japan Missionary Personnel, and Wendi assists him in this role. In addtion, the Thomsons are involved in church planting in the Osaka area. In 2007, they plan to lead the 2nd Kansai regional Church Planting Network. They have been with Asian Access since 1988.

When you're in Japan, be sure to...

Try the Fugu (puffer fish). It's to die for.

Wonderful ministry memories...

The story of Nobuko Souma, who came to our English classes, heard the gospel, believed in Jesus, was discipled, was baptized, joined Youth with a Mission, and now is a missionary herself. Awesome!

What we've learned here...

To minister in Japan, don't try to be Japanese; rather, strive to be Jesus.

In Japan, we enjoy...

The generosity and hospitality of the Japanese people.
