Giving is Worship"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
- Luke 6:38

As Thanksgiving approaches, I've been reflecting on my giving practices. I inherited an amazing treasury of generosity from my parents who are some of the most generous people I have ever met. They practice the truth of this passage in the Gospel of Luke...

planting-healthy-church-webWhat a joy to sit at a coffee shop in one of the most dynamic cities of Asia today. My wife and I had the privilege of listening to A2 alumni across three different cohorts in country share how their ministry is doing and how they are doing. One alumnus is leading a network of 18 churches in the city that has 600 people attending. Another said that he leads a group of eight churches with 2,000 people. The third is now leading a local...

Mary Jo Wilson, A2's VP for Japan, shares why she is proud that Asian Access applies its four outcomes to women leaders across Asia:
1) Nurturing a love relationship with God;
2) Growing in Christ-like character;
3) Reproducing disciple-making leaders;
4) Planting multiplying churches.

Being a female leader can be a lonely road. But Asian Access is investing in these leaders to help each of them in their context. And as they are in the A2 community, they're mutually encouraged and learning...

(Photo APEC flags courtesy Flickr/CC/Halans)Japan (MNN) — It was supposed to be a photo-op, but instead, it was an awkward handshake between the leaders of China and Japan meeting in Beijing for the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Summit. The body language of both leaders made it clear that a lot of work lies ahead of smoothing out...

Ron & Maureen McMahonAt our October meeting, the Asian Access board unanimously and enthusiastically elected Ron McMahon to serve as the lifetime honorary chairman of our board. It was a deeply meaningful time together as we reflected on Ron's 23 years as our chairman. Because of Ron's great leadership, we are well on our way to celebrating 50 years of ministry in 2017. bangladesh-garment-factory-workers-500In one of the poorest countries in the world, where garment workers labor under harsh conditions, Asian Access is partnering with InterVarsity to build the Living Water Centre (LWC)—a multi-purpose training and conference facility in a country where land and buildings like this are scarce. Peter Mazumder, general secretary of InterVarsity Bangladesh, shares in a video interview his vision for a Centre that will lead people to living water. LWC will help the nearby garment workers through providing a medical clinic and chapel as well as serve the facility needs for a number of organizations who are partnering in this vision, including...

 Inspiring attitude despite eight pastors imprisoned.

A2's Noel Becchetti learned from Asian leaders there is a new wave of persecution in their country. When he offered to pray for them, he was surprised to hear the leaders say: "Pray that we would be bold and stay bold as we face this new time of struggle."
